Whitemark

There are public toilets behind the library situated on the corner of Patrick Street and Davie Street. Also there are public toilets at the swimming area, on the Esplanade near the Sports Club gateway.

Lady Barron

There are public toilets situated at the Lady Barron tennis courts.

There are also public toilets at most of the more popular beaches;

North East River

(at the mouth of the river and at the boat ramp)

Police

There are two police stations on Flinders Island located at Lady Barron near the Tennis Courts and at Whitemark on Robert Street.

Office hours at the Whitemark police station between 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm on Wednesday and Friday.

Our local police officers are an important part of our community, they deserve all the support you can give them to keep Flinders Island as a Crime Free Environment.

Our police officers work with the community organising Blue Light Disco’s for the younger generation of Island residents.

Fire Brigades

Flinders Island has local volunteer fire brigades all around the island.

Their aim is to protect the Island and its residents from bush fires, visitors can help our local fire brigades preserve our unique Island by obeying fire restrictions when in place and if lighting a fire please keep them to a minimum and please make sure it is stone cold before leaving the fire.

In case of emergencies ring 000 and state the position of the fire.
