Killiecrankie Bay Holiday House at 531
Killiecrankie Rd is a fully self-contained two-storey brick house that can cater
for up to ten people. It is set
back about 150 metres from the road with trees and garden in front and is just 2
minutes walk from the beach, which is suitable for swimming.
From both levels there is a view of Mt Killiecrankie and Killiecrankie
Bay.
There are two double and three twin
bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 fully equipped kitchen.
Facilities include, gas BBQ, wood BBQ,
spare towels, laundry, hair dryers, electric heaters, wood heater, CD player, TV
with video player (unfortunately there is television reception) and telephone.
Our guests are within walking distance
of swimming, diving, fishing, gemstone fossicking, lazing on the beach, bird
watching, mountain climbing, rock climbing, and more. We provide fishing rods and sieves and shovels for gemstone
fossicking free to guests.
We can provision the house for you,
including crayfish (in season) if you post, fax or email a list of requirements
to us before your arrival.
We have one shop at 527
Killiecrankie Road, Killiecrankie and the other at 1 Patrick Street, Whitemark.
Both
shops stock a large range of gift boxed “Killiecrankie Diamond” topaz
jewellery, as well as faceted and rough stones.
We also sell treasure maps and hire sieves and shovels from the
Killiecrankie shop so that you can find your own “diamonds”.
We
have the largest range of souvenirs on the Flinders Island in both shops.
Included are books with local content, teaspoons, photos, photo cards,
fridge magnets, caps, hats, tee shirts, windcheaters, miniature craypots and
locally produced craft items.
We
can pack the paper nautilus shells, which are for sale in both shops, for
travelling.
Our
Killiecrankie shop sells Tasmanian Recreational Sea Fishing licences.
A licence is required to take abalone, crayfish or scallops, or to use a
net for fishing. A licence is not required for angling.
Our
Killiecrankie shop also has small range of canned and frozen food and general
groceries. There is also a range of
ice creams, soft drinks and confectionary.
We have takeaway food in summer with the range including, locally made
pies, pasties and sausage rolls as well as sandwiches.
Whitemark
shop also stocks a range of gift ideas and craft supplies.
Killiecrankie shop is open most days from 9.00 am – 5.00 pm.
Whitemark shop is open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9.30 am – 4.00 pm.

“ORCA 11” is in survey to carry 10 passengers and “Maximum” is in survey to carry 5 passengers. Guests in Killiecrankie Bay Holiday House get a discount on all boat trips. Provided with boat trips are rods, lines, bait (if you want to use your own you are quite welcome to), and our Killiecrankie shop can provide a picnic lunch for a fee. We tailor trips to suit the requirements of our guests and the weather. You can choose to have a picnic or barbecue on a deserted beach or a leisurely cruise along the coast or you can choose to fish. You can see the grandeur of Craggy Island Cliffs, the seals at Wright’s Rock, or even go to The Kent Group and see the highest lighthouse (above sea level) in the southern hemisphere. Craggy Island, Wright Rock and Kent Group trips are only available on “ORCA 11” and minimum numbers apply. You can ask Alan questions about the islands. He was born here and has travelled these waters all his life, so he can answer most of your questions.

Killiecrankie Enterprises has now opened a new store at 1 Patrick Street, Whitemark. This is the blue building opposite the Interstate Hotel.
Opening hours are from 9.30 am until 4.00pm Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Killiecrankie Enterprises have the largest range of souvenirs on Flinders Island. Included are a number of books with local content, tea towels, teaspoons, shells, lots of local crafts and some commercially produced items.
As well as all our usual range of souvenirs our new store also stocks a large range of craft supplies.
The crayfish season usually opens on the first Saturday in November and closes on 31st August. We sell cooked or live crayfish during most of the season. In order for us to get them to you as fresh as possible we would like you to order them at least the day before you require them. We have polystyrene boxes and ice so that you can take them home as well.
We have two automatic station wagons for hire to guests, or to general public if guests don’t require them.
